Pre-remaster bestiáre sú stále použiteľné knihy, takže by sa ľahko dalo povedať, že kúpa Monster Core nie je potrebná, ale tým by ste sa ochudobnili o celý rad zmien a nových monštier (ktorých prítomnosť autori podľa mňa neinzerujú dostatočne nahlas).
